COHEN & COMPANY SECURITIES ANNOUNCES OPENING OF LOS ANGELES OFFICE

New York – November 12, 2009 – Cohen & Company Securities, LLC (“Cohen & Company Securities”), Cohen & Company’s registered broker-dealer, is pleased to announce the opening of a Los Angeles office for the firm’s registered broker dealer. Starting the LA effort for Cohen & Company Securities are Mike Sanchez and Angela Chang.

Mike Sanchez joins Cohen & Company Securities as a Managing Director after successful stints with Countrywide Securities and Merrill Lynch Asset Management. Mike brings extensive experience both buying and selling mortgage-backed and asset-backed securities and will have responsibility for maintaining relationships for Cohen & Company Securities with several major institutional west coast mortgage securities managers.

Angela Chang joins Cohen & Company Securities as a Managing Director after a successful eight year career marketing derivatives and structured credit products for Deutsche Bank Securities. Angela will focus on both structured products and straight high grade and high yield credit sales for Cohen & Company Securities. Angela is responsible for managing relationships with close to a dozen of the top hedge funds in the United States.
