COHEN & COMPANY SECURITIES ADDS TO INSTITUTIONAL SALES FORCE IN NEW YORK AND CHICAGO
Philadelphia, PA and New York, NY – July 13, 2009 – Cohen & Company Securities, LLC (“Cohen & Company Securities”), Cohen & Company’s registered broker-dealer, has added to its institutional fixed income sales force with the hiring of Corky Andrews as a Managing Director with the Mortgage Securities Sales team in New York. Corky comes to Cohen & Company Securities after having enjoyed 20 plus years of tremendous success as a senior mortgage securities sales specialist for Lehman Brothers, Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette, Credit Suisse and the Winter Group. Corky consistently ranked among the top producing institutional mortgage salesmen at every firm for which he has worked.
In addition, Cohen & Company Securities has expanded its regional institutional distribution team with the hiring of Steve Shuel. Steve will be a Managing Director based in Cohen & Company Securities’ Chicago office and will specialize in investment grade corporate bond sales to institutional investors. Steve joins Cohen & Company Securities after more than 16 years working in the investment grade corporate bond arena. His career began at Conseco Capital Management in Indianapolis where Steve rose to be part of a team that managed approximately $1 billion in total assets. From there, Steve became an institutional high grade corporate bond salesman in Chicago first with UBS and later with Morgan Stanley and Deutsche Bank Securities.
